In her loving memory, the Aimee Oki Foundation was established to actively support those affected by Bipolar Disorder, depression, and suicide. The foundation strives to raise awareness by educating young adults about the importance of mental health and provide direction to professional resources for those in need of guidance.
Formerly known as manic depression, Bipolar disorder includes extreme mood swings from emotional highs to hopeless lows. This long-term illness can be treated with medication and therapy.
How to Help
The Aimee Oki Foundation believes that community support is a form of therapy for those living with Bipolar disorder. We host annual fundraiser events as well as assist in scheduling mental health programming on school campuses to make this growing epidemic an open conversation.
